Higher Education Strategy Group

This group is working to increase participation in higher education and raise awareness of local opportunities to study at this level. TLP is keen to increase pathways for progression to higher education so there are no barriers to anyone.

It has produced a set of 4 themed HE pamphlets, each one aimed at a different interest group in the Community. Please click on the links below to see each one:

Business links Chafford Hundred

PDF icon 51Kb Date 03/2008

The Partnership recognised the need to map the links between employers, schools and colleges and undertook its first mapping exercise in 2004.

The aim of this exercise is that we should refrain from approaching employers, particularly SMEs, if we can see they are already working with another school.

Recognition of the contribution already being made by an employer avoids the same employers being continually approached and helps maintain goodwill between all parties.

Trident, Education Business Partnership and all organisations under the Link-Ed umbrella also take this information into account.

It is recognised the list is not comprehensive and never can be even with regular updating  but it has proved valuable in our relationship with business.
